4. Academic achievements

Our team mainly focusing on germplasm resource collection, creation and utilization of pepper, cucumber, and brassica for gene cloning, and genetic transformation. We got a first prize and a second prize from the National Scientific and Technological Progress, Two-second prizes and two third prizes from Shaanxi Province Agricultural Scientific and Technological Progress, one first prize from Shaanxi Province Agricultural Technology Extension, and one third prize from Xi'an Scientific and Technological Progress. We have selected ten items of national patents and selected ten pepper varieties and a tomato variety. In collaboration with Xi’an “Huangguan” Vegetable Institute bycombination of molecular marker technology and conventional breeding technology. We produced three new nematoderesistant varieties (M6, M158, and M126) of tomatoeswith independent intellectual property rights. We have published more than 300 academic research papers, including more than 60 SCI papers, and written more than 30 textbooks.
